Licensed plumbers serving Heidelberg with reliable shower repairs, resealing and waterproofing solutions.
A leaking shower can quickly become a serious problem for Heidelberg homes. Water damage spreads silently behind tiles and into structural timbers, leading to expensive repairs if left untreated. Victorian Bathroom Company provides professional shower repair and waterproofing services throughout Heidelberg and surrounding suburbs. As registered builders and licensed plumbers, we diagnose the source of leaks accurately and deliver lasting repairs that protect your home.
Catch problems early before they escalate
Many Heidelberg homeowners discover shower leaks only after significant damage has occurred. Knowing the warning signs helps you act quickly. Look for water stains on ceilings below bathrooms, musty odours, loose or cracked tiles, and discoloured or peeling grout. You might also notice water pooling outside the shower area or dampness on adjacent walls.
If you spot any of these issues, it is wise to arrange an inspection promptly. Our team can assess the condition of your shower and recommend the most appropriate shower repair solution. For older Heidelberg homes, we often find that original waterproofing has deteriorated over time. Understanding shower repair costs upfront helps you budget effectively. In some cases, a targeted repair is sufficient, while others may benefit from a full bathroom renovation.
Protecting your Heidelberg home from water damage
Waterproofing is not just a finishing touch; it is a critical component of any wet area. Australian building standards require specific waterproofing methods for showers, and these standards exist for good reason. Water that penetrates behind tiles can cause timber rot, structural weakening, and mould growth that affects indoor air quality.
At Victorian Bathroom Company, we apply waterproofing membranes that meet or exceed Australian Standards. For Heidelberg properties, this is particularly important given the mix of older character homes and newer builds in the area. Our renovation process ensures every step is completed correctly. Whether you need a repair or are considering an ensuite renovation, proper waterproofing gives you peace of mind. We also offer shower servicing to maintain your shower's condition over time.
Our team travels throughout Melbourne's north and east to deliver quality shower repairs.
Victorian Bathroom Company is based in Mordialloc and proudly services Heidelberg along with nearby suburbs including Ivanhoe, Eaglemont, Rosanna, Viewbank and beyond. Whether you live in a period home near Heidelberg's leafy streets or a newer property, our team understands the unique challenges different building styles present.
Heidelberg's mix of heritage homes and modern developments means shower issues vary considerably. Older properties may have outdated waterproofing or degraded grout, while newer homes sometimes suffer from poor initial workmanship. We assess each situation individually to provide tailored solutions.
Our service area extends across Bayside and East Melbourne, so we are well positioned to reach Heidelberg quickly when you need assistance. From initial inspection through to completed repair, you deal with one professional team who manages the entire process. If your shower problems are part of a larger project, we also offer laundry renovations, custom cabinetry and floor and wall tiling services.

I couldn't be happier with the whole process and the end product! I asked Jamie for for an efficient, functional, safe and cost effective ensuite bathroom renovation. As well as the renovation aspect we had specific needs in terms of safety. Consideration was given to layout and placement of grab rails. Tommy and Joe, as well being highly skilled trades people, consulted us through every step to ensure the work was meeting our needs. They were also considerate and delightful people to have working in our home. Jamie and team were reliable in terms of time frames, arriving when they said they would and completing the job within the quoted time frame. The end result - an aesthetically pleasing, functional, safe, ensuite bathroom!
